Christ N Council

“As soon as it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying, “If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will by no means believe.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:66-67‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/luk.22.66-67.nkjv
The major reason why the scriptures discouraged the act of Christian taking another Christian to council or court is their expected willingness in both parties to submit to the Will of Christ. Unfortunately, when anyone in Christ struggles with submission to the Will of God, even Christ Himself is often summoned to the council to defend His lordship over the affairs of life, needless to query the indictment of fellow believers before the council of unbelievers. When Christ was brought to the council of the Sanhedrin, the query of the chief priests and elders was “If You are the Christ, tell us”. As straightforward as the answer may appear, Christ refused to provide a straightforward answer because the council was not set up for the presentation of straightforward answers. When the mind is made up against the truth, the defence of the truth is fruitless. Likewise, the entire life of most believers in Christ Jesus is shredded in a thick and tough struggle against the counsel of God. Whether it be matters relating to family, career, and ministry life, Christians are expected to live to tell in councils that Jesus is Christ; and not the other way round.
