Indestructible Inspiration
“Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote on it at the instruction of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And besides, there were added to them many similar words.”

Like the atmosphere created by Jehoakim’s insurrection, the word of God has experienced many foolish attempts from men of materials and positions at eradicating the influence of God in the affairs of His people. Different government establishments have previously developed a paradigm of policies against the written word, but later left the stage disappointed and disgraced. The truth remains unchangeable and unmovable, even while the knowledge about it develops. Since materials and positions came into existence by the pronouncement of the truth, it is unthinkable for materials and positions to destroy the originating truth. Therefore, the most honourable from all of life’s assignments is the finding of the truth and the acceptance of its declaration. Unfortunately, many holders of the truth are often jolted away from the counsel of the truth at the conflicting commandments of materials and positions. With the fear of losing relevance with materials and positions, they are tempted to trade the counsel of the written word for the comfort of the watery wealth. But like Jeremiah succeeded Jehoakim in relevance, the position of those who wait patiently only on the indestructible inspiration from God cannot be ultimately moved.
