Perfect Peace

““Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, And rock of the plain,” says the LORD, “Who say, ‘Who shall come down against us? Sometimes, it is difficult to imagine the possibility of peace in regions where the state of emergency is a regular occurrence. Unfortunately, it is evident that those who dwell in highly walled-houses and secured-cities are mostly the victims of high-blood pressure and emotional disorders. Peace is a state of the heart and not a security for the body. In fact, improvement in the security for the body is capable of proffering false security to the soul of man. When Judah relied on its physical peace for being ‘inhabitant of the valley, And rock of the plain’, then they said ‘Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter our dwellings?’. And the divine response was ‘Behold, I am against you’. The consequences of shifting our confidence in God to embracing physical and material security is an inviting to the wrath of God. But the righteous shall always be kept in perfect peace, whose heart is stayed on the Lord.

Peaceful Pathway

  “ Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Little wonder Martin Luther King once said, ‘On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “ Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “ Is it polite?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “ Is it popular? ” But Conscience asks the question, “ Is it right? ”’. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
