Trouble Time

“Saying to a tree, ‘You are my father,’ And to a stone, ‘You gave birth to me.’ For they have turned their back to Me, and not their face. But in the time of their trouble They will say, ‘Arise and save us.’ But where are your gods that you have made for yourselves? Let them arise, If they can save you in the time of your trouble; For according to the number of your cities Are your gods, O Judah. “Why will you plead with Me? You all have transgressed against Me,” says the LORD.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭2:27-29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/jer.2.27-29.nkjv
In season of treasure, it is easy to live absolutely for pleasure. Everything that appeal to the tastebuds finds approval without possible consideration of heavenly disapproval. Like Judah, we are often caught in the web of abusing our treasure times, treating them as self pleasing time. Unfortunately, a life that is focused on pleasing self - treating taste, pleasure, and affluence as god - cannot find the way to plead with God in trouble time. The Lord then said to Judah “Why will you plead with Me? You all have transgressed against Me”. God actually consider self pleasing individuals as dead, as the scriptures declared ”But she who lives is dead while she lives”. Whereas, we ought to please God all the time (either during treasure time or in trouble time) in order not to lose His audience when we plead in trouble time.
