Flourishing Fear

“Do you not fear Me?’ says the LORD. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it. But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart; They have revolted and departed. They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the LORD our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:22-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/jer.5.22-24.nkjv
Natural attractions around human habitat readily provide the wonders of the Almighty God, especially the wholesomeness of his intelligent design. When Elon Musk recently placed his Cherry Tesla in the space, he probably took for granted the wholesomeness of God’s perpetual decree that sustains the movement of the galaxies, despite the exciting dumping of human payloads in the space. Unfortunately and like in the days of prophet Jeremiah, God always has problem with the people’s flourishing frenzy with defiant and rebellious heart whenever their knowledge or prosperity increases. The fear of the Lord, who holds and sustains the frame of human creativity, provides an enduring prosperity of body and the soul of man. Whereas, the flourishing frenzy solely with material achievements add weariness to the soul, especially when all excitement settles down. Therefore, a flourishing fear consistently appreciates the perpetual placement of material world in order to continually accommodate the perpetual presence of His inspiring word in the heart.
