Corrupted Confidence
“For He said, “Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie.” So He became their Savior...But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them.”
Isaiah 63:8, 10 NKJV

A clearly constituted human resource department has unambiguous guidelines towards every recruitment exercise. Normally, different vacant positions would be advertised with distinctive requirements that enable objective recruitment of the right candidates. It implies that a competent human resource manager is equipped with tools that place competent candidates with cognate confidence into his different positions of responsibilities. And a good candidate would manage this confidence with humility until the corrupting influences within and around the organization are entertained. Amazingly, God’s confidence in His children has little to do with human confidence, but much to do with His providence. To Israel, He said, “Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie". He paid the ultimate price to purchase the expected level of confidence, the grace to save, and the Holy Spirit to guide and sustain the saved souls along the line of duty and responsibilities. While God's confidence in His children cannot be corrupted, our confidence in God's providence is susceptible to corruption. Especially when the road to glory appears though and filled with gory experiences, the confidence of the righteous in his own right senses, personal judgment and discretion represent a subtle dose of corruption. Whereas, in all negative situations and circumstances of life, the corrupted confidence in man's provisions cannot invalidate the comprehensive confidence from God's providence.
