Forthright Fears

“For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed...“Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness And has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD And rely upon his God.”” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭50:7, 10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/isa.50.7,10.nkjv
Worry and anxiety surely breed torment and the inability to trust in the Lord for deliverance, especially when the sparks of darkness from the activities of the wicked are evident. Like the dryness of the waters in the sea exposes the fishes into the threat of suffocation and death, legitimate fear comes from personal activities that encouraged the absence of the presence of God. Besides sin and unrighteousness, Israel is encouraged to ignore the threat of possible darkness or the absence of light. The fear of the Lord generates an unquenchable light of hope in the hearts of the righteous children of God. Even when the righteous appears to stumble and fall in the wicked setup of darkness, it is the promise of the faithful God that he will not be disgraced. Therefore, forthright fears only tremble at the words of the Lord but stand upright throughout all the threats from the wicked.
