Flood Flooring
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish.”
Isaiah 41:10-11 NKJV

The sound of the storm, the drought of the desert, and the force of the flood bring nothing but the torment of fear. And the melody of ‘Standing on the promises that cannot fail’ often fade in believers’ moments of fear and discouragement. The troubling mind questions include: ‘does Jesus care when the heathen rages against believers’ promotion, prosperity, and preservation?’, ‘does the Saviour care when the enemy easily takes advantage of the righteous’ simplicity and sincerity?’, and ‘does the Master care when the flood threatens to swallow the servants on their field of faithfulness?’. The scriptures say the promise has nothing to do the absence of rage, threats, and disappointment; but it has everything to do with ‘I am with you’. Absolute confidence in the promise ‘I am with you’ encourages flood flooring instead of promoting flood fretting. The promise ‘I will strengthen, help, and uphold...’ is certain only when the raging of the flood is sure. Therefore, flood flooring is simply the standing of the righteous with the righteous right hand of God who is the Master of the flood, while the enemy actually does the flood fretting.
