Inspired Intervention

“Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/act.13.9-10.nkjv
Natural intervention in the course of life debate and business transactions demands growing taller for appreciable recognition. Elymas the sorcerer had employed the strategy for a deliberate interruption and a strategic perversion of the mission of winning the soul of Sergius Paulus for Christ. Even when the strategy is easily noticed to be deficient in providing the needed soul satisfaction, it is always proven to be efficient in the business of soul distractions. Saul would have offered a counter defence with another natural intervention strategy, based on the elevation of his personal profile: Saul the defender of the Jewish religion. However, he chosed the path of humility (identification with a gentile name, instead of promoting the proud Jewish name), echoed by the reference to his name preference as Paul the inspired servant of Christ. It is always easier to be tempted along the line of exercising personal nerves and exerting natural talents especially when it appears we have superior argument. Unfortunately, the result of all natural intervention strategies could win arguments, but it does lose the salvation of souls. Therefore, when the Holy Spirit intervenes through His humble servants, the souls of men are convicted and converted.
