Sincere Submission

“Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.29.17.nkjv
Those who have ever experienced the pretence of disowning an herring son or acquaintance would probably attest to the inseparable affinity between a son and their souls. There appears to be a permanent register created in the soul and occupied by every son and all acquaintances that are inhabited within the sphere of anyone's influence. Invariably, the correction of the son turns out to be the maintenance of own soul, through every submission to the counsel of the Lord. Little wonder, those who have succeeded in the business of parenting will always be grateful to God for the privilege of personal transformation, made possible by their willingness to accept God's correction before offering an effective correction of others within their sphere of influence. And if everyone knows that every son is in the parent's soul, God's command will be interpreted, probably, as "Correct your soul, and he will give you a lasting rest and delight". Apparently, the sincere submission of the soul to God (the Perfect Father) precedes the reliable correction of any son.
