Satisfied Servant

“Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ says the LORD, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭25:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/jer.25.9.nkjv
In heaven's labour market, the word 'recession' appears to be strange or undefined. Even while the call to divine order for the children of Judah became non-responsive, heaven did not lack the service of servants, including Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon. For over 23 years of prophet Jeremiah's exhortation, the dissatisfaction of the Creator with services did not change His satisfaction with the status of the creatures as His servants. The service in the kingdom of God offers a refreshing moment of interaction with a loving and good Father - our satisfied Saviour, who love discipline without dispensing off any of His children. Even throughout the creature's fruitless search for service outside the heaven's labour market, God remains satisfied calling His erring child 'My servant'. How much more can God be satisfied with those who labour in His vineyard, albeit with hopeful eyes on the open market for a better service? We all need grace in order to reciprocate the gesture of heaven as a satisfied servant of the Lord.

  1. "In heaven's labour market, the word 'recession' appears to be strange or undefined"...If it is strange and undefined in heaven, it thus applies to the citizens of the better country
