Spirit Groanings
"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." (Romans 8:26 NKJV)
Although no one would prays for the suffering of the body, sufficient provision of the needs of the body weakens his sensitivity to spirituality. It is the denial of body pleasure that often awaken the heart to the things of the Spirit. Otherwise, the heart is burdened with ephemeral things like consumables, decorations, gratification, etc. Conformation of the body to the image of God, in holiness and righteousness, cannot be possible without suffering. Therefore, suffering merely set the platform for fellowship between heaven and earth. There is no mortal that can utter the glory of Spirit groanings.
