Stretch of Endurance

There is always a limit to the level of endurance to persecution; that if carefully presented in court of law, provocative conduct can be defended to justify acquittal, mitigated sentence, or a conviction of a lesser charge. If the confidence of Christian Jews in the book of Hebrews was apparently been provoked by the treatment received about 2,000 ago, the trend about the hope of the second coming of Christ among today's Christians may not be unexpected. Many, in the past, were deceived to prepare for Christ's coming; but were disappointed after they have been robbed of their fortune. The danger now is that many Christians have become passive about the coming of the Lord, trying to avoid the current wave of possible exploitation.

However, Jesus will come back as He has promised. He did not provide more than signs to prepare saints of His coming. But right from the bible days, Christians have accessed trends and expected Christ to have come. While today's signs are sending a stronger expectation, more faith is required to stretch believers beyond their level of endurance. The performance of all of God's promises always require patience and faith. The coming King is also the author and finisher of faith; so let's get stretched because His promises will never fail.
